OCRICOM is built upon the goal for improving the manufacturing of optical coatings and gaining a deeper understanding of all the physical and chemical phenomena related to their fabrication. All the while, we value preserving and sharing this know-how for those interested in.
Our Mission
Our mission is to increase the domestic R&D and piloting capacity of optical coatings and related technologies in Finland and more precisely in Tampere. We aim to provide the means and know-how for efficient optical coatings research and small scale piloting and, hopefully, full-scale production later on. Together through collaboration we can bring additional value to the already blooming regional photonics ecosystem.
To reach this goal, we aim to:
- Always produce additional value to our customers and partners in addition to the high quality coatings.
- Constantly develop the latest know-how of optical coatings.
- Enable the growth of the local photonics ecosystem and foster the EU level collaboration.
Our Philosophy
The focus in our work is to always improve. This means to try to understand what and how we do things, and how these affect the coating performance and quality. We also see the value in sharing know-how, whenever it is possible, so that not everyone has to go through the same groundwork each time they expand into a new field of applying optical coatings or deposition methods.
