Optical coatings, and other thin films, rarely stand on their own, and they need to be applied on something. In deposition science these objects are called substrates. Now, the variety of substrates is vast and, as a custom coating provider, we typically deposit the coatings on customer provided substrates, or source the required substrate batch per customer specifications. However, we keep some standard ‘on-the-shelf’ items for ourselves and to be able to provide fast supply of basic substrates suitable for different types of filters. You can find our stock here with the list prices of the bare substrates. The substrates can be bought as they are or with the filter of your specifications with the additional price of the deposition batch. Just let us know, what you’d need!

Plano Optical Windows
The simplest substrate choice is a plano window of fused silica. It has wide transparency range from 185 nm to ~2 µm, it is environmentally stable, and the IBS oxides adhere well to it. We have two grades: standard and laser grade, of which the standard is well suited for regular operations (CW lasers, non-laser illumination) and laser grade for high power laser applications (pulsed lasers, intracavity elements).
