Company Values

  1. Curiosity
  2. Quality and Efficiency
  3. Sustainability and Nature

The company values were set in the first official board meeting, right at the start of our journey, and are to be used as the guidelines for the operations and development of OCRICOM. The values strongly reflect the mindset of the founders and how they see that the company should pave its way to the future.

Curiosity

The willingness to learn something new is the key to keeping the business going. The moment we stop looking beyond the limits of our current know-how is the moment we stagnate in all aspects.

We encourage our people to test new things, when they have the feeling that something could be done in a better way.

Quality and Efficiency

Do things as well as you can. Perfection is an illusion, but one can, and should, always improve, step-by-step. This means that we pay attention to how we do things from the start and actively try to develop better ways to achieve the same level results, or even exceed them, with less effort. Sticking to how things have always been done, without knowing why or whether it really is the best way, leads to little or no improvement in the long run. Also, mistakes do happen when trying something new, the key is to learn from them to do better next time.

We also work towards standardized quality procedures to ensure that our work and products fill all the required specifications. A crucial part of efficiency is to know when something is good-enough for the purpose and the moment, and see that improvement is a continuous process.

Sustainability and Nature

In our mind, sustainability is the way of thought and action that improves the world both in the short and in the long term. This means that we need to take care of our people and our environment the best way we can in our daily lives.

We should be mindful that everything we do influences the surroundings, in good and bad, so we should aim to outweigh the bad with the good. In practice, we need to recognize the effects that our actions have on the people and the environment and think how to make choices that benefit us and the society around us, both now and in the long run.
